Hi-Tech Firm Reports of Injectable 'Human Bar Code'

By Fred Jackson
January 7, 2002

(AgapePress) - The Florida company that is developing human implant technology says its microchip could be injected through a syringe and used as a sort of "human bar code."

Applied Digital Solutions of Palm Beach expects to have federal approval to begin human implants of the chips before the end of this year. A company executive, Keith Bolton, says the human market for this technology could be huge.

According to a report in the technology newsletter eeTimes.com, Applied Digital’s initial plan calls for it to market the chips for use in medical devices like pacemakers. It would allow medical personnel to monitor the performance of the device by simply running a scanner over the patient’s chest. But other applications are also being developed, including using an implanted chip to track individuals. People could also use their chip to make purchases.

Many Bible prophecy watchers are keeping a close eye on this development. It appears to be a direct correlation to the teaching in Revelation about the mark that Anti-Christ will require all to have during the tribulation period.
