Indecent Minority Wants Decency Law Repealed

By Rusty Pugh
May 13, 2003

(AgapePress) - A pro-family advocate says homosexual activists have no right to complain about being targeted by state indecency laws when they are engaging in, and encouraging, illegal public activities.

Gary Glenn is President of the American Family Association of Michigan. He says a state lawmaker wants to repeal that state's law against gross indecency, which includes, but is not limited to, people having sex in public.

Glenn says homosexuals claim the law is discriminatory. But, according to Glenn, there would probably be few incidents of gross indecency if not for the actions of some homosexuals.

"It's outrageous that homosexual activists themselves are responsible for promoting and encouraging and legitimizing sex acts between men in public places frequented by families and then turn around and accuse the state of acting in a discriminating fashion when they enforce the law to try to protect families [and] to protect health and decency," states Glenn.

Glenn says public sex activity is a major component of the homosexual lifestyle. He believes this is the major reason that homosexual activists want the law repealed because it would allow an "anything goes" policy in library restrooms and highway rest areas.
