Planned Parenthood Refusing to Help in Infant Murder Case

(AgapePress) - A leading pro-life advocate says the nation's largest abortion provider is impeding a murder investigation.

Authorities in Iowa are going after Planned Parenthood in hopes of finding the mother of a dead, newborn baby boy. The boy's body was discovered at a trash recycling center in Storm Lake. Investigators have few clues so they need to find the birth mother to help solve the murder case.

A judge has ordered area hospitals and Planned Parenthood to turn over records of all women who have had positive pregnancy tests since last August. According to Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America, hospitals have cooperated -- but Planned Parenthood has refused.

"Planned Parenthood is standing in the way of the investigators trying to find who may be responsible for this crime," Wright says. "This is very typical of Planned Parenthood -- they have no respect for the law and have no respect for human rights or human life. But this goes even farther in that now they are actually standing in the way, they're impeding a murder investigation."

Wright says Planned Parenthood's refusal is consistent with the agency's actions in not reporting pedophiles and statutory rapists to authorities.

"Planned Parenthood has a track record of flaunting the law and flaunting the authorities," she says. "In fact, they are required by law to report when a minor is pregnant because that's good evidence that statutory rape has taken place -- and yet they consistently refuse to report [that] to the authorities. So they're allowing that predator to continue abusing the girl."

Prosecutors are threatening to jail Planned Parenthood's local director if she does not hand over the records. The ACLU claims the court's action is an invasion of privacy, but authorities say they need to find the person who murdered the baby boy.
