| 'Sanitized' Homosexuality Being Foisted on America, Researcher Says By Jim Brown and Jody Brown (AgapePress) - An article in the Regent University Law Review exposes the tactics homosexual activists are using to market their agenda. In his article, entitled "Selling Homosexuality to America," Regent's director of development, Paul Rondeau, explains that opponents of homosexuality are at a "linguistic disadvantage" because of the success of the homosexual movement.
Rondeau points out there is a concerted effort in the United States to sanitize homosexuality. He says that is why the popular press seldom uses the term, opting instead to use the terms "gay" and "lesbian" to take "sex" out of the name. It is not a new tactic, he says. "Just as the tobacco companies for ... decades told us there was no association between cancer and other respiratory ailments and heart disease and smoking, homosexual activists have done an incredibly good job of distancing themselves [from] -- or quietly suppressing information that has to do with -- the results of same-sex behavior," he says. Rondeau says homosexual activists only associate positive information with the products of their behavior, while refusing to admit that the lifestyle brings higher rates of suicide, mental disorder, domestic violence, and drug use. He says Americans are victims of a propaganda campaign to desensitize them to homosexuality -- and as proof, points to positive images of the lifestyle that are flooding the airwaves. "Just take a look at prime-time TV," he says. "Where only 2% of the population is reported as being homosexual, almost every single prime-time show has either a character or a reference or a storyline that has to do with the victimization of homosexuals or the positive attributes of gays." Rondeau is currently a doctoral student in persuasive studies, and is writing a book based on his ten years of research into the homosexual agenda. © 2002 AgapePress all rights reserved.
