| AFA Leader: Ford is Hurting, But Boycott Will Make Essential Point By Jim Brown (AgapePress) - American Family Association (AFA) founder and chairman Don Wildmon says his group's boycott of the Ford Motor Company is significantly contributing to the automaker's financial troubles, which unfortunately affect many dealers and workers who may disagree with the corporation's pro-homosexual policies. Wildmon says Ford is suffering the effects of its decision to aggressively promote same-sex "marriage" and other aspects of the homosexual agenda. The pro-family leader notes that AFA had suspended the boycott for six months; however, after Ford reneged on its agreement to remain neutral in the culture war, he says the boycott was back on.
The pro-family spokesman says Ford is hurting. And although AFA and other groups who have joined the boycott are not responsible for all of the auto company's financial woes, he says they are responsible for a substantial part of the difficulty Ford is now having with its bottom line. Wildmon describes boycotting as a "democratic and voluntary" way for pro-family consumers to make their disapproval and disappointment with Ford evident. And, he points out, it is a way to send a message to other companies' corporate executives that American families do not intend to go on supporting businesses that support and promote homosexuality. The officials at Ford made a decision, Wildmon asserts. "They elected to continue supporting the homosexual agenda and homosexual marriage," he says. And if pro-family and conservative groups fail to respond to the automaker's actions, the AFA spokesman contends, those groups will, in essence, have "given corporate America over to homosexual leadership." Wildmon believes the automaker is getting the point through decreased sales and falling stock prices. "And if we make our message clear with Ford, which we will," he says, "we won't have to fight many more corporations." AFA has established a website -- BoycottFord.com -- providing further information as well as details and examples of Ford's advertising in pro-homosexual media and the automaker's support for the homosexual agenda. The Ford boycott includes all automobiles manufactured by the company, including not only Ford but Mercury, Lincoln, Volvo, Land Rover, Mazda, and Jaguar models.
