(AgapePress) - A pro-family activist says the governor of California demeaned 9-11 by using the anniversary to sign more pro-homosexual bills into law.
Randy Thomasson is director of Campaign for California Families. He says for two years in a row, Governor Gray Davis has signed into law bills aimed at furthering the radical homosexual agenda. One bill awards marriage-equivalent inheritance rights to homosexual "partners."

Thomasson says Davis put these bills through on the pretense of "helping victims of 9-11.""For two years in a row, Democrat Governor Gray Davis of California has tried to wrap the homosexual agenda in the American flag -- and it's just not flying," Thomasson says. "On the anniversary of 9-11, he gave a marriage-equivalent inheritance right to homosexuals. He undermined marriage again."
"And he did it a year ago, too. When 9-11 occurred, the Democrat-controlled state legislature in California -- the day before, and then the day after that -- passed a bill giving over 12 rights of marriage to homosexuals," he says. "Gray Davis signed that, trying to prop it up as for terrorist victims."
Thomasson says the governor's pandering to liberal special-interest groups is not surprising because he has promised to bring homosexual "marriage" to California.
Foster Care Bill
According to Thomasson, Governor Davis is officially "undecided" on the most controversial bill to cross his desk this year. He says Davis has until the end of this month to sign or veto another pro-homosexual bill -- one that promotes trans-sexuality in the state's foster-care system.
The bill, Thomasson says, seeks to promote homosexuality and trans-sexuality by imposing "sexual orientation training" guidelines for foster parents. The pro-family spokesman calls this one completely insane.
"What a clear example of the state persecuting religious freedom and free speech of foster parents. This is an intolerant bill -- it goes way too far," Thomasson says. "Trans-sexuality being foisted upon foster children? These children have gone through enough abuse and neglect. This bill will make it worse for kids, much worse for foster parents, and weaken an already ailing foster-care system."
Thomasson says promoting homosexuality in one thing, but forcing "confused sexual deviancy" on young foster children will only result in fewer foster parents.
